Funyaks + Wilderness Jetboat

Embark on an exhilarating journey with our Funyak adventure, starting with a thrilling jet boat ride from Glenorchy up the Dart River into Mount Aspiring National Park.
Travel back downstream in our unique Funyaks, exploring pristine waters flowing from the Southern Alps to Lake Whakatipu. Explore channels and side-streams, witness native flora and fauna, and enjoy a gourmet picnic lunch by the river.
Finish your epic day with a coach ride back to Glenorchy, passing famous filming locations. Please note, locations may vary due to weather, but the stunning vistas are guaranteed.
No prior Funyak experience is needed as our expert guides will teach you everything. Safety is our top priority, so please follow all guide instructions.
Important Information
Children must be at least 5 years old to participate in this tour.
Minimum child height is 100cm, but may be increased to 120cm in some river conditions.
This experience is not suitable for pregnant women, those with specific medical conditions, including people who suffer from back or neck injuries, those weighing over 120kgs. Please contact us prior to booking so we can assess and advise your suitability to travel.
Anyone who is under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be allowed to travel.
Please note that in low river conditions there are periods of walking during the trip over uneven surfaces and through sections of river. For this reason clients must have a reasonable level of fitness to take part in the trip.
To ensure your safety and the safety of others on the trip we require all participants to understand English to a basic level. This is to ensure safety instructions can be followed.
Water confidence and the ability to swim are essential for funyakking. If you are not comfortable in water we recommend the Wilderness Jet Experience
