Di is the big boss and hails from the little country town of Ranfurly. She has been in Queenstown for 12 years and her favourite activity is Jetboating. Her hot local tip: "Snow in May doesn't stay, and snow in June is gone to soon, so come skiing later in the season!"
Our local legend Fae was born and bred in Queenstown and has been in the tourism industry for nearly 60 years! This woman is a wealth of knowledge and loves a good red, hence her favourite activity being a Wine Tour! Fae wants every visitor to know that Queenstown has a beautiful heart so take time to meet the locals. They will always come together in times of need.
Kerrie was born in Ireland but after coming to Queenstown in 2009 for a year long trip she forgot to leave and has been here ever since. Kerrie loves getting out and experiencing everything that New Zealand and Queenstown has to offer. The best way to see Queenstown in her opinion is from the air; hot air ballooning, parasailing or in a helicopter. Her secret about Queenstown is if the rain is in by 7 it will be out by 11!
Joyce travelled all the way from Malaysia to Queenstown back in Sep 2013, and hasn't looked back since. She speaks a number of different Asian languages including Malaysian and Mandarin. Her favourite activity is the historic TSS Earnslaw cruise, and her advice to you is that there are
so many nice short walks and photo stops that are well signposted along most roads in New Zealand. Don't be in a rush and take the time to check them out.
Mei hails from Taiwan and is an avid fan of the many hiking trails we have around our beautiful region. If you are planning on hitting the world renowned biking trails New Zealand has to offer then Mei is the lady to help you plan your trip. She has recently completed the Alps to Ocean, Around the Mountain and Otago Rail Trail. Her insider knowledge is invaluable to the most experienced traveler. Her recommendation is to visit us in the shoulder season and do your best to get to know the locals.
Lynn joined the i-SITE team in 2015 and is originally from China. She has been in Queenstown since 2011 and really knows her stuff. Lynn’s our resident foodie and knows all the hot spots to get a good feed. Her favourite activity is the Dart River Funyak tour, exploring the glacial valleys in Glenorchy and getting down to it in the cold waters of the Dart River. As a local, she thinks that Queenstown will bring out the best (or worst) in you if you dare to accept the challenge.
Sandy moved to Queenstown from China with her parents nearly 20 years ago. Which makes her a true local around here! She has amazing local knowledge and has great recommendations for the best kept secrets in Queenstown, from the best walking tracks to best places to eat in town. Sandy is also fluent in Mandarin.
Greta is originally from the Sichuan Province in China, where she qualified as a teacher. In 2012 she followed her passion for travel and she ended up in Queenstown on a working holiday visa. With 5 years experience in the tourism industry, Greta brings a wide range of knowledge to the Queenstown
i-SITE team. Greta loves to explore her new home and you will often find her doing a tramp or biking on her days off.
Matt arrived in Queenstown in 2015 to study at The Queenstown Resort College for a diploma in Adventure Tourism Management. He quickly realsied that Queenstown was the place that allowed him to pursue all of his hobbies. As a keen snowboarder, Matt has quickly become our specialist in all things snow. Whether you are complete beginner or want to book a once in a lifetime Heli ski experience, Matt is the person to talk to.
