About

Queenstown

The choice of things to do in Queenstown is almost overwhelming. . .

Not only can you push your personal limits on the year-round adventure activities that Queenstown is famous for: jet boating, rafting, sky diving, parapenting, mountain biking, helicopter excursions, river surfing, the world famous bungy jumping and winter skiing & snow boarding, but also relax and enjoy the more sedate: wine tours, back country 4WD tours, Lord of the Rings tours, Milford Sound tours, guided walking/hiking tours, guided fishing, beauty spas, not to mention the “retail therapy”and over one hundred cafes, restaurants.

The choice of accommodation in Queenstown is diverse. . .

You may enjoy an exclusive luxury lodge experience or a self contained holiday home/apartment, or maybe you prefer the intimate personal host-contact of a small bed & breakfast property?  The accommodation choices are all here for you in Queenstown.  Whether you want a hotel, bed & breakfast, motel, lodge, luxury resort or aholiday park, our Travel Consultants can help find the ideal accommodation for you and your family.

Every season in Queenstown is incredibly beautiful. . .

Queenstown has four exceptionally distinct seasons.   So much so, every season generates its own visitor demand and each stimulates different human senses.   The visual delights of the Queenstown Lakes District are stunning.  Photographers (amateur and professional) from around the world visit Queenstown to take advantage of the clear, bright light.  The Autumn (Fall)…ablaze with golds, yellows and vivid reds, the Winter, a wonderland of snowcapped mountains against calm blue lakes, the greens and vibrant burst of colour in Spring and the bright blue skies and golden tussocks on the mountain sides during the long hot days of Summer.  Pure joy!

Take your tired, overworked, underrated self off into Queenstown’s  hills and valleys and absorb nature.   In this area you won’t come across smog, petrol or diesel fumes, just the aroma of sweet earth and native plantlife.   You won’t hear telephones, motor vehicles, horns and humans, just the peace and “noise” of native birds or the running water of a stream.

If your body craves some balance you can simply choose to incorporate some of the excitement Queenstown has to offer all year,  night or day in the vast array of cafes, restaurants, wineries and nightclubs, or breath-taking activities and sightseeing tours.

Naturally, the local residents are fiercely proud of Queenstown and love nothing better than showing it off to visitors.
