Appellation offer two tour options that incorporate small groups, which enables the tour to be tailored to taste each day. Both tours incorporate a vineyard platter style lunch, all wine tasting, a glass of premium wine with lunch, pick up from The Station Building Bus Stop (corner Camp Street and Shotover Street) or Central Queenstown Hotels/Accommodation and comfortable air conditioned vehicles.
The two tours available are the Boutique Wine Tour and the Gourmet Wine Tour. The Boutique Tour is the perfect introduction to wine during a half day tour. The tour includes 4 vineyards in Gibbston Valley, Cromwell and Bannockburn, a platter gourmet lunch all tastings and a visit to Old Cromwell Town (time and weather permitting) and the original home of bungy, The Kawarau Bridge.
The second option is the Gourmet Wine Tour offers a relaxed day of fine cuisine and good company, sampling local cheeses and tasting premium cool-climate wines in one of the world’s great Pinot Noir wine regions. During your tour you will visit 5 vineyards in Gibbston, Cromwell and Bannockburn, a delightful gourmet vineyard platter lunch, match a complimentary glass of premium wine with your lunch, a tour through New Zealand’s largest underground wine cave, tasting local cheeses at a local vineyard and a visit to the original home of Bungy and historic Old Cromwell Town.
